About this Cruise
With golden sunshine, dazzling white buildings and deep blue seas, the Greek Islands are one of the most beautiful locations on earth. The breathtaking scenery and stunning weather attracts millions of visitors every year. There are approximately six thousand Greek islands with around two hundred and fifty that are occupied and make up the Cyclades, Dodecanese, Sporades & Saronic Islands of Greece. The Cyclades islands are the most popular. This ancient group of islands are located in the south Aegean sea and are most famous for Santorini and Mykonos with their whitewashed homes, blue doors and domed rooftops.
The best times to visit the islands are April and May when the weather is still pleasant but not overly hot. We’ll not only visit popular Cyclades Islands and some that are off the beaten path like Sifnos and Kos, but from Mykonos we can also visit Delos, a UNESCO World Heritage site. For more ancient ruins we’ll visit the island of Rhodes and take a tour of Ephesus from Kusadasi, Turkey. The “Mama Mia” island of Skiathos has easy access to Little Banana nude beach and Skyros, Patmos and Hydra offer offer quiet charm after the busy popular islands visited.
