About this Cruise
Have you ever wanted to float on the waters of nostalgia for the pre-9/11 life when things seemed easier and the airwaves were dominated by some of the world’s biggest butt rock acts? Creed sure hope you do, as their highly anticipated reunion announcement turned out to be the reveal of their ‘Summer of ’99 Cruise.’
The cruise will embark from Miami and head over to Nassau, Bahamas before returning to port. During that time out at sea, attendees will be able to take in the sights and catch performances by Creed and a number of other bands from that era.
According to the announcement, not only will fans get to catch the reunited Creed’s first live performance in more than 10 years live on the boat, but 3 Doors Down will also be there. Other artists committed to the cruise include Buckcherry, Tonic, Vertical Horizon, Fuel, The Verve Pipe, Tantric, Dishwalla, Louise Post (of Veruca Salt), and Nine Days. The entire proceedings will be hosted by Eddie Trunk and “The Power Hour,” which includes Matt Pinfield, Caity Babs, and Josh Bernstein.
If you’re one of the first 500 people to book a cabin, you’ll also get a photo with Creed, which might be something to consider if that gets ya going.
While this whole thing makes for an interesting plot twist, I’m sure there are plenty of fans out there that are disappointed that it’s not like a huge arena tour with Creed co-headlining with Nickelback or something. And who knows? Maybe that’s in the cards in the future. For now, if you want to catch Creed live, you’re gonna need your swimmies.
