For a personal look into one family’s history with the Holocaust, join us on the October 25 sailing of Delightful Danube, a Jewish Heritage Collection departure. Host Mitch Kreitenberg, a second-generation holocaust survivor, recounts the harrowed journey his family took from Czechoslovakia to Auschwitz to Los Angeles.
Over the course of a two-lecture series, Mitch will share his family history and their Holocaust experience, including a look at some family photos discovered inside The Auschwitz Album. The album contains the only known photographs taken inside of Auschwitz.
Mitch Kreitenberg is a 2nd generation holocaust survivor who recounts the story of his father’s amazing journey to survive Auschwitz and a death march, as well as several incredible family discoveries. Mitch is currently a docent at the Holocaust Museum in Los Angeles, California, where he leads tours for donors and special groups—including student tours. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Seminar for Educators at Yad Vashem in Israel.
